A thousand smiles, 30 years, and one and only Fikreta Sijerčić
At our hotels, we like to say that some guests don’t come here for a holiday—they come home. Among them, Fikreta Sijerčić holds a very special place, having visited us faithfully for an incredible 30 years. Every winter, she returns with the same enthusiasm, warm smile, and contagious energy that is evident from the very first meeting.
Fikreta Sijeerčić is not just a regular guest—she’s a true phenomenon. She is 76 years old and—yes, you read that right—still skis. She does it with joy, courage, and a sparkle in her eyes that many would envy. But that’s not all. Fikreta never comes to Kranjska Gora alone. She brings her family, friends, and even friends of friends… It seems that her circle grows a little every year. Over the past thirty years, she has brought thousands of extra smiles with her.
Her story is so remarkable that even the journalists at Dnevnik noticed her and wrote a wonderful article. Real stories are often the most beautiful, and true stars don’t always walk red carpets—they glide down snowy slopes. You can read the full article at the end of this post.
Of course, we couldn’t let such a milestone pass unnoticed. We celebrated 30 years of Fikreta’s loyalty to Kranjska Gora and our hotels in a way that was different from what one might expect: no pomp, just pure enjoyment—coffee, relaxed conversation, and reminiscing about countless memories. Memories of winters, snowy days, ski adventures, laughter, and moments that, over the years, have formed a beautiful mosaic of experiences.
On this special occasion, we also surprised Fikreta with a truly unique gift. She received an oil painting depicting herself—right here, in Kranjska Gora, a place very close to her heart. The painting was presented by Milan Sajovic, our company director, and created by one of our colleagues, who revealed a hidden talent we hadn’t fully appreciated before. The surprise was heartfelt, touching, and—as Fikreta herself said—unforgettable.
Moments like these remind us why we love what we do. Hotels are not just buildings—they are places of connection, stories, and people who, over time, become part of our community.
We sincerely thank Fikreta for her loyalty, warmth, and joy, which she has shared with us for three decades. And judging by her vitality, we dare to say: here’s to the next 30 years—on the slopes, over coffee, and, of course, with a smile.
