Every piece of paper makes a difference

We’ve also jumped into a bit of “spring cleaning” this year – not just clearing out closets, drawers, and offices, but also paper. And once again, quite a pile has built up – to be exact, 455 kilograms!

And even though we live in a digital age, it’s surprising how much still happens on paper. All that adds up – but at the same time, it offers a chance to give something back to the environment and our community. We handed over our collected paper to those who know how to turn every sheet into something more – the students of the local primary school, who collect paper every year to raise funds for their graduation celebration and final trip.

We brought a full van of paper to the schoolyard collection drive on the morning of Tuesday, May 20th, 2025. And just like every year, the ninth-graders at Josip Vandot Primary School lit up with excitement.

This kind of collaboration with the local community is nothing new – for many years now, we’ve proudly supported younger generations as they approach the end of their primary school journey. The graduation celebration, or valeta, is more than just the end of the school year – it’s a heartfelt, memorable event, full of gratitude, reflection, and a symbolic farewell to classmates. By collecting paper, the students help create an unforgettable moment – one they’ll carry with them long after they leave the school halls behind.

Sometimes, connecting with the local community isn’t about grand projects. Sometimes, it’s simply a big pile of paper backed by a whole lot of heart.
