Behind us is the historic project “Planica 2026”, which will go down in history as both a sporting and organisational pinnacle, as well as one of the greatest logistical and catering challenges in our story. 

In the valley beneath Ponce mountain, World Cup ski jumping athletes once again competed – and for the first time in history, also female competitors. All teams were comfortably accommodated in our hotels, as were the delegates and officials of both categories, along with proud sponsors and partners of the Slovenian ski jumping national team. In addition to the main venue in Planica, the event also came to life at numerous accompanying locations – in the halls of our hotels, at the concert venue between the two hotels, and at other sites connected to the event.

Our catering was present everywhere. Not only at the main venue, but also at all side events, where we took care of guests, sponsors, members of the organising committee, and teams. This represented an exceptional logistical challenge: most dishes were prepared in the kitchens of our hotels and then carefully finished and served on location. Despite the scale and tight timing, all food was delivered on time and at the highest quality.

Over the four days of the event, 83,380 visitors gathered in Planica, with the peak on Saturday reaching 31,000 visitors. Throughout the entire period, more than 500 workers and volunteers, organised by the Ski Association of Slovenia, ensured the smooth running of the event. They, too, were not left without food. Our catering system therefore covered VIP guests, athletes (both men and women), as well as the entire organisational team.

The project required exceptional coordination, flexibility, and teamwork. During the most intensive days, we increased our staff capacity, ensuring seamless hospitality – from the hotels to the venue in the valley.

Planica 2026 was more than a sporting event. It was a test of organisation, logistics, and dedication. And the result? A flawless execution, top-level delivery, and numerous messages of appreciation from partners, highlighting not only the outstanding flavours of our catering, but also the professionalism and heartfelt dedication of the entire team.

We are proud to have been part of this historic chapter in sport and organisation. Even more so, we are proud that we delivered our part together, in unity, and at the highest level.
